I am currently living in a 5room flat which I bought in the resale market in 2020 without taking any grant. Can I apply for a 3gen flat in the upcoming Aug BTO even though my current unit has not reached mop?

Hi,

1) In early 2000, there was different scenario listed by the HDB to determine the minimum occupation period.
2) All these were standardized after 2008 to minimize the complication of the different minimum occupation periods.
3) Now the MOP is fixed to be 5 yrs regardless of whether this is with/without grants, loans, utilizing funds in CPF, etc.
4) Therefore you may only submit your application after you completed your 5 yrs stay in the current flat.
