Unfortunately no, ABSD refund is only applicable for SC couples who sell away their 1st property after purchasing a 2nd. It will be ideal to wait you get the outcome before applying, unless you sure it may not go through successfully. Thanks and hope to assist further.

Hi,

Unfortunately there will be no refund on ABSD.
You may either wait for the citizenship outcome or purchase now as prices have been reduced significantly, and are subject to future developer /owners discretions and market sentiments.

Thinking objectively -
If you were to factor in your 5% ABSD liable for the purchase, the combined purchase price (price of unit + 5% ABSD) might still be on par than that of the actual purchase price of a resale sometimes later. Down the line, there are price adjustments and also possible review of cooling measure which might have an impact on demand and price. Food for thought.
