I am an SC married to a non citizen. We have our HFE letter and are planning to buy a resale HDB while waiting for my husband’s PR application. Can I check on the following: 1) if he gets PR in future and we buy a BTO, are we considered first timers if we do not use any housing grants for our first resale HDB? 2) the total grant we are getting now is 40k (+10k proximity if applicable). I’m wondering if it’s worth it that I don’t use the grant now so that I can be eligible for first timers privileges for future BTO purchase.
