I am a widow age 55 by Oct. I intend to buy a resale HDB flat with my daughter age 26 before my CPF OA transferred to RA. Can my daughter and myself combine as the owner of the flat and that she to be the person to apply the housing loan from Financial Institution as her age is young and able to stretch the housing loan for 30 yrs.

Or is it possible for both of us to loan the above for one flat?

Hi,

1) Just in case, your planning does not materialize according to reality. You may write to the CPF to request to reserve certain funds for your purchase.
2) You and your daughter can be co-owner but only she is applying for a home loan in order to get a 30 yrs tenure.
3) Note that only HDB loan gives 30 yrs tenure, bank can only provide a maximum of 25 yrs tenure.
4) Since she is only 26 yrs old. Ensure the flat you choose remaining lease must be at least 69 and more to ensure she can fully utilize her CPF for the mortgage.
