Hi Eileen,

For a SPR to qualify for HDB purchase, you will need to have a spouse who's a Singaporean, or if your spouse is also a SPR, both of you would need to be SPR for at least 3 years before you can purchase under the Public Scheme.

If you're eligible for the purchase, you will be required to sell off all residential properties (local and overseas) latest within 6 months upon the HDB flat purchase. You may continue to hold onto your non-residential properties.

Hi Ms Eileen,

There is no need to sell off your Malaysia property before you buy your HDB but you will have a time period of 6 months after the key collection of your HDB to dispose off your Malaysia property. When we mention dispose, it can mean selling it off or transferring it to another party.

HI Mrs Lim,

Unfortunately, SPR can't purchase a resale HDB under your name. You must need at least another SPR to apply for a resale flat. In addition, both SPR must be more than 3 years.
