You can apply for a new EC with your parents under public scheme. Yes they have to sell their current HDB within 6 months from EC's TOP date.

Hope my sharing is beneficial to your purchase.

Hi Sir,

Yes. Your parents will need to sell their HDB within 6 months from the keys collection of your EC. EC is a good investment in the long run as stated in the coverage on EC on 20th Mar 2016.

There are many advantages to upgrading from a HDB to an EC such as the affordable price point and the potential of future capital appreciation.

Yes, you can purchase a new EC with your parent, but they have to sell the HDB within 6 months from TOP. Fyi, Levy is payable except some of the earlier launched EC.
