Hi Chong Ming,

If you would allow me to verify, do you mean that you are currently servicing a HDB loan for your existing HDB and has recently booked a service apartment in KL? If positive for above, the key criteria to take note will be your Minimum Occupation Period for your existing HDB flat. If you have not met the MOP, you are disallowed to purchase any form of residential property, be it local or offshore. Otherwise, it is perfectly fine. More importantly is to ensure that you are aware of what you are getting into when purchasing a offshore property, with recent news report highlighting on several issues owners faced with their offshore properties.
