If you are below 35, your situation would be quite tricky as HDB requires your husband to hold a valid long term visit pass which must be at least 6 months from the date of issue. As your husband is staying in India, this condition might be quite impossible to be met. If you are above 35, I would not see an issue with this. However the hassle might arise during the purchasing process itself. You may appoint a POA to act on your behalf should you not be able to be physically in Singapore to go through the whole process. However during the resale submission, HDB requires your spouse to have a valid visit pass (need not be a long term pass and can be shorter than 6 months from date of issue) which means your spouse needs to be in Singapore at some point of time within the purchasing process.
