I am a PR of Singapore, with an Indian citizenship, while my wife and son are Singaporeans. We have recently applied and have successfully received a new HDB flat, which would be ready in 2 years time (my wife is the primary owner). I intend to invest in a land in India for my parents. Is it allowed for me to buy a land in India? Can it be under my name? Or can i invest in a land in india under my parents name?

Evening Saleem,

HDB recognise you and your wife as one entity. It's also under the current regulation that neither of you are allowed to purchase private property, before the HDB unit fulfills it's MOP.
The advisable move would be to purchase the private property under your parent's name, to avoid unwanted implication.
