1) Unfortunately the criteria to be eligible to purchase an HDB flat is rather strict.
2) You must be at least either a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, to begin with.
3) Even after becoming a permanent resident, it is not a straight road to Rome yet. You must be able to form a family nucleus with another PR or SC.
4) If you are intending to buy with another PR. Both PR must also hold the PR status for at least 3 years before you are eligible.
5) The stringent requirements are there to provide benefits to both SC and PR, which has privilege compare to foreigners.
6) I would suggest you consider purchasing a private condo instead.
7) I believed you are here for 10 years should have already observed the stability of the Singapore property market.
8) Although we don't have a high surge of price like some other countries in Asia, with the multi-cooling measures implemented. Our property market demonstrates a strong, healthy, and sustainable market that worth investing in.
9) Even during the pandemic in 2020 and now 2021, our property market still going strong and continue to move up.
10) Buying a property your own could end the frustration of renting and paying others' mortgages. Might as well pay your own mortgage and bring home the capital appreciation that you deserved.
