I am a foreigner who has currently applied for a PR. Is there a differed payment scheme condo where I don’t have to pay the stamp duty until I hear back on my PR ( 6-8 months). My budget is $1M and I am looking for at least 2 bed

Hi Abhi, for new project, there is still a way or possibility for you to secure a unit first, and then pay for the remaining fee like the stamp duty once you gotten the PRship.

Good morning Mr. Abhi,

If you were to purchase a unit before getting your SPR, the ABSD payable will be 15%. However, should you wait till you obtain your SPR, the ABSD payable will be 5%. This would mean a difference of $100k cash just for tax. If you are urgently hunting for a unit, I would be glad to assist you accordingly.

Hi Abhi,

May I know your objectives for the purchase? I suppose you're looking for own stay? If so, must it be a completed development, or you're also ok for a new launch?

For a resale private property, there is no deferred payment scheme. For a new launch, only a handful of projects does offer this scheme, but I'm not sure if it suits your budget and move-in timeline.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
