I am a buyer and looking to buy my new home in the resale market now.I have 2 qns to ask with the experts here.
1)If the owner wants to take down all the lightings,are they allow to do so before handling over?
2)If the fridge and washer are given by the developer,can the owner bring along with them?

Hi Sir/Mdm,

Lightings are considered fixtures and are to be sold together with the property. If the owner wants to bring along after he or she sold the unit, there has to be a mutual agreement between buyer and seller. This mutual agreement is to be recorded in the OTP.

The fridge and washer are not fixtures and therefore the owner may remove them when he or she sold the unit.

Hi,

If there are particular items you like to have with the property handover, it can be discussed during negotiations. Legally speaking, lightings are fixtures hence sold together with the property, but washer and fridge (assuming movable) are fittings hence owner can take it with them.
