I am a belgian mother and my son is living in Singapore already for 2 years. Because I am missing him very much I'm wondering whether or not it is possible to buy a small appartment in Singapore as a Belgian ? And if yes, what are the taxes then above of the price ? Hi Nadine,

Yes, it is possible to purchase a private residential property in Singapore as a foreigner. Depending on the price of property you are looking to purchase, the stamp duties payable (tax) is up to 66% of the purchase price. Do you plan to finance the property entirely with your existing funds?

May I ask if you are buying as a PR or foreigner? There will be a property tax of 3-6%. In addition, there is an additional buyer stamp duty for PR at 5% and foreigner at 60% for your first property.
