I´m a co-owner of an HDB-Flat, an inheritance. The 3-bedrooms are occupied by my 90+ father, brother & niece. I´m living overseas & planned to return at the end of 2012 with my husband who is a European.
During our visits, we "squat" in the living room. I don´t want to transfer my inheritance to any sibling
As long as our father is alive, we cannot "sell" or "settle" the present property.
Pls advise me what options I have in getting a HDB flat for our residency in 2013 without surrending my inheritance.

Evening June,

As per your terms of inheritance, I would assume you are the owner of the unit. You really don't have any other choice but to either perform a part sales, to your father or perform a normal sales, through the open market. However, you can consider to write in to HDB and appeal for the case, though the chance of success is not good.
