In usual scenarios, buyer do not need to pay his/her salesperson any commission, however, in the event that the vendor's agent does not share or offer to share a sum of commission that is not even sufficient to cover the expenses for securing the transaction, where does it left to stand for the buyer's salesperson. All of us are working for money therefore as long as the salesperson is not collecting from both purchaser and vendor (dual representation) they ought to be remunerated accordingly, where the amount can be negotiable.
