Dear sir/madam,

You are free to purchase all private properties in Singapore as a Singapore citizen even with overseas properties under your name. If you are a Permanent Resident or foreigners, you will then require a permit from the Singapore Land Authority to purchase a landed property (except on Sentosa island). What is more important will be the finances involved in purchasing the private property as we do have strict requirements when it comes to housing loans. It could be a better option to speak to a banker first to assess your financing option before commencing to look to purchase a property.
