Hi we bought the 5 room resale flat at punggol 5 years ago at 380K and already paid half of it using our cpf and now we are planning to sell it and upgrade to 3 bedroom EC,we are married Singaporeans,is it wise to upgrade? what will the banks will look into in order for us to be eligible for the maximum loan?

Morning,

It's all goes down to your desired lifestyle and expansion of family etc. If both of you feel there's a need to upgrade, why not? But you must financially capable to upgrade.

Normally, banks will look into your household income, your loans (car etc) etc.

If you are keen to know about your approval in principle (potential loan amount), I can request my panel of bankers to speak to you and advise you on that.
