Hi,
We are PR and 3 Years Locking Period will be completed on 30th Aug 2016 for buy Resale Flat.
When can start process to buy flat?
Still we have 6 months time.
When can take first HDB appointment?
Already approached Bank for Loan.

Hi Rambabu,

You can possibly start shopping about 3 months later, and only exercise OTP after 30 August. However, should you find a suitable unit, we can always negotiate for a delayed submission to "book" the unit.

Good afternoon Rambabu,

It will be too early to do househunting now as you wont be able to ink the option to purchase also. Your in principle approval wont be invalid by then as well.

It will be advisable to start househunting 1 month before you fulfill SPR status for 3 years. Perhaps 1 August.

Once you ink on OTP, we can submit resale application to book 1st appointment. Whole legal completion period could be 3 to 4 months. Thus you might be able to move in around Dec.

Afternoon,

As you will still require around 5 more months to fulfill the 3 years holding on SPR status, it would be too early even for loan assessment. It would be more prudent to have it done around late July and start the house hunting concurrently.

The experience we had in taking most SPR/SPR for viewing will be 2 weeks before they meet the waiting period of 3 years.

Although we share your enthusiasm, however any earlier will be a frustrated effort on your part as you cannot make any booking.

You may at the same time request for a fresh IPA (In-principle approval for the loan).

The 1st appointment will be about 4-6 weeks from date of option. This 4-6 weeks time frame will be dependent on the number of transactions in HDB at that time.
