Hi we are married sc ,combined income is 7k,we have the cash and cpf for downpayment.should we get a 2 bedder EC or a 2 bedder private condo? heard that the private condo prices are almost the same as EC? we do not know should we go for EC or private.heard that private condo living space is very small compared to EC?

Hi there, I will advise you to obtain an in principle approval from banks to find out how much can you loan due to the MSR/ TDSR. Normally new EC are priced cheaper than new private condos of about the same size that are in the same area. Difference between them is that: 1) have to fulfill MOP for EC before you can sell while as for private, you can sell it off anytime but will be subject to any seller's stamp duty if any.
