Hi, this is a sincere question. My prospective wife(non citizen) will be coming over next year August to study for a masters degree in a local university in Singapore and we planned to buy a resale flat under the non citizen spouse scheme(will get LTVP eventually). I would like to ask at which stage of the process of getting a resale flat would it be necessary to provide proof of marriage when getting a resale flat? Is it possible to enter into an option to buy a resale flat and then subsequently produce the marriage certificate at the end of the 21 days? If yes how late can we do so?(i.e. before getting keys?) Thanks !

Good afternon Weixiang,

As long as when you submit the resale application, both of you are legally married and she has a valid pass then no issue.

Submission of resale application is after you exercise the OTP and when you are going to book for the first appointment.

Hi Weixiang,

For HDB resale, upon signing the OTP as two name are required. Both of you must be married with cert in advance of OTP signing.

Morning Weixiang,

As you are buying under non-citizen spouse scheme, both of you must have being married prior signing the OTP, which is unlikely Fiance and Fiancée scheme where both are SC and have the intention to get married soon.
