Hi there,

I just applied for HLE and gotten 250K. My combined ordinary account with my wife is 30K. My combined gross monthly income of me and my wife is 4.6K. My nett monthly income of me and my wife is 3.7K. I am looking for a HDB 4-room house with no additional top-up of cash for monthly installment. Please advise.

Good evening Shafiq,

Based on the finances you have provided, your choices for 4RM flat is rare.

Probably you should consider a 3RM flat instead.

Do take note that you will have to incur these in cash:

1) $200 valuation fee
2) $80 resale submission fee
3) HDB legal fee
4) Prorated property tax
5) agent's commission (1% of purchase) etc

Evening,

Assuming that both of you are first timer SC and buying resale unit near either parents, you will get housing grant of $40k. That would increase your buying limit to around $310k after deducting legal and stamp fee. If you must get a 4 room flat, you can look into 4S units.
