Just to recap your question, you looking to buy a resale EC with your child under your Care & Control ? Actually you can buy resale EC with your single name provided you are SC / PR.. But if you are looking to buy brand new EC, you will need to buy with your child as Occupier.. i have a newly MOP EC for sale at Tampines and Punggol.. Hi,

Yes. A resale EC is considered a private property to Singapore Citizen and Permanent Resident.
There are no restriction other than residential status.

However, if you are also considering new EC, than you will have to wait till court order issued. In this case, you will have to ensure you complied to the eligibility from HDB before you sign any document.
The above also applicable to resale HDB.
