Asked by Mr. L Tan
Hi,
Recently i was offered by an agent to buy a new launch condo at 'staff price'. He explained that the staff price is available for him or his family members/relatives/friends only but this is of course limited.
He said he is able to allow me to use his quota to buy at the much cheaper rate but was hoping to get an ang bao from me.
Question:
Is it common market practice for developer and marketing agent to tie-up to offer employees of marketing agent 'staff rates'?
I suspect this might be a marketing gimmick. I am ok to give ang bao in exchange for the privilege to buy at 'staff price' but i was not sure if this is proper and whether it contravene any rules/regulations.
Glad if any guru can advise.
