Hi Property Gurus!

I'm a Malaysian looking to buy a resale 4-Rooms HDB together with my wife. Both of us are SG-PR and my wife and daughter will convert to SG Citizen soon. I'm employed with a salary of $7200 and my wife working as a freelancer earning $500-1000 without contributing to her CPF at the moment.

My question is that possible to use my wife's name to buy the resale HDB with me be the guarantor? The reason being is because I have properties in Malaysia and I don't intend to sell them yet.

Looking forward to your advice!

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew,

I would be most glad to assist you further and please feel free to let me know if you need any assistance. Have a good day ahead. By the way, nope both you and your wife’s name would have to be included in the HDB purchase.

Hi Andrew,

Your wife can be the sole-owner of the HDB flat, but you will need to at least be the essential occupier. This will also mean that you will need to dispose off all interest in properties (both locally and overseas) latest within 6 months upon your HDB flat purchase.

Also, should your income be needed to secure a loan for the flat purchase, you will also need to be the co-owner.

I am experienced and well-versed in both HDB and private transactions. I will be able to assist you in your property plans. Please get in touch with me for a more in-depth discussion.

Should you need require further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen
