Hi PG, in the scenario of a single owning a 2 room while under MOP gets married to a SC, are they allowed to apply for a BTO together under first timer second timer couple status? Does the unit that's still under MOP bar them from applying under MOP is up or are there exceptions to this rule?

Good morning,

you can only apply for another BTO or purchase resale HDB once your MOP is up.

You can liaise directly with HDB to see whether is there any exception for your situation.

Hi,

1) Yes, the Single who owns a 2-room flat is eligible to apply with spouse for a bigger unit after completion of the MOP for the current flat.
2) If your spouse has not enjoyed any housing subsidy from the govt, you will be categorized under the 1st timer when applying for BTO.
3) You will not be able to apply for an HFE before the completion of your MOP. You can find your MOP date on your MYHDB.
4) You may also submit your appeal via the feedback if you have sufficient grounds for the HDB to consider:
