Hi Officer, I am currently a 5-room HDB owner and still have 10 years of outstanding loan with bank. If I intend to invest in private condo, am I eligible? What are the restrictions? Thank you.

Hi Will,

As long as you have fulfill the applicable minimum occupation period for your HDB flat, you can go ahead with your private property purchase.

When did you buy your current flat?

Because due to recent 6 Oct MAS changes, you might not be able to loan up to 60% if you opt to loan for more than 30 years or over retirement age of 65 years old.

What's the loan tenure you are looking at and your current age?

Feel free to contact me so we can discuss further.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Warmest Regards,
