Hi, my wife and i, both Singaporeans, are thinking of getting a 4 room resale HDB flat near a school that we like. Currently we jointly own a private condominium in Singapore and We have no intention to sell the private condominium. We do not want to pay ABSD. What are the options available and cost involved?

Hi, for your situation, the only option is to dispose off the private property as there is no other way out.

Hi,

You definitely have to dispose the private property if you wish to purchase a resale hdb. There's no workaround, but the timing can be managed thus ABSD can be avoided. Thanks and hope to discuss further on your housing plans.

As per your current status, I'm afraid you have no other option but to sell away your private property should you decide to purchase the HDB unit.
