My wife and I are both Singapore Citizens. We currently own a HDB as joint-owners but are thinking of decoupling so that make my wife can be the sole-owner and for me to buy another private property.
Our MOP is not fulfilled yet, and hence I would like to check if I am able to buy a private property if I'm no longer a owner of the HDB unit?

How about new developments that are not yet ready? For example say a new development that is currently under construction and will be ready only after my MOP is over? Or is there no difference and I can only start looking at new/resale developments only after the 5 year MOP?
