Hi,
My sister and i are both under 35 years old. We are keen to get HDB flats/EC
Is it possible for me and her to buy the flat together under public scheme family nucleus?
1. Both of us are not married yet.
2. Both under 35 years old

Or another option is that she can buy the flat with my parents. We are willing to buy the resale levy but we do not wish to dispose our first flat.

Good morning.
There is no way you can keep the other hdb if you are intending to buy a bigger HDB or new EC. However you can buy a resale EC or condo/apt if you wish to keep your current hdb.

Hey there,
For your first question on getting HDB/EC with your sister:
I assume your sister & you are both single. Apparently, you are not eligible to purchase HDB/EC under Joint Single Scheme which require you to be at least 35 years old.

However, you can still purchase a private residential unit, such as Condominium, which can be a good choice for investment.

For your second question on Buy 2nd flat while keeping the 1st flat:
If your sister is intending to buy the new flat with your parents under family nucleus scheme, your parents are required to dispose their current HDB within 6 mths upon getting keys of the new flat.

It is not possible to own two flats concurrently.

It seem that your intention is to buy another property for investment/rental income. There are few options we can explore in achieving that besides owning two HDBs. It will be great if we can meet up and provide you with various options that best suit your current situation.

Happy 2018 to you!

I am afraid to inform you that both of you are not eligible to purchase HDB or EC as both of you are below 35 years old.

If both of you are single and at least 35 years old, you will be eligible under single singapore citizen scheme.

And if your sister decides to purchase a BTO with your parents, I am afraid to inform you that your parents will have to sell off existing flat within 6 months from key collection thus your initial plan wont work.

Care to share more about your intention?

Own two properties. One for own stay and the other for investment?

Some proposals could be sell off HDB and buy a dual key unit. If not buy a private condo instead.

Perhaps you can share more with me so I will be in a better position to value add further.
