Hi,

If its SC-PR 1st matrimonial property in Singapore, there will be no ABSD payable due to IRAS ABSD Remission. However, you need to sell away your overseas property within 6 months after key collection to resale HDB. Thanks and hope to assist further with your purchase.

You are eligible to purchase HDB unit under public scheme but your spouse will be required to remove the private property ownership within 6 months from collection of key to the unit.

Good afternoon buyer,

As this will be your first residential property in Singapore, IRAS will treat it as your matrimonial home thus you don't have to pay 5% ABSD due to your spouse's SPR status.

Do take note that he has to dispose off his interest in overseas property within 6 months from completion date.

If he wants to hold on to it, I will recommend him to appeal to HDB first before committing to the purchase. If he will like to have the contact to email to, I can pass it to him. But do take note that it will be based on a case by case basis. A few of my SPR clients failed to get the approval to keep the overseas property.

He can either sell of transfer the ownership to his family members.
