Check with HDB on this as they are administering the process of your application of HLE/HFE. They will be the best person to answer you instead of agents, who are not involved in the BTO process at all.

Hi Jana,

1) Technically speaking your boyfriend is employed since he would be able to provide the employment letter.
2) However, this does not change the fact that his salary cannot be included in the average home income since he can't produce the last 12 months' payslips.
3) This also meant that you could get a higher EHG benefit as well if applicable.
4) The disadvantage of the current situation is his income cannot be used to apply for a higher home loan. The reason is the same as (2).
5) I would suggest you apply for the deferred income assessment scheme, where his income can be used to assess the home loan you could receive when the BTO is ready for collection.
6) More of this type of query is best to ask the HDB directly since we could only provide generic advice.
