Hi, Me and my wife is a PR. We intend to let go our private property and get a unit of resale HDB and resale EC, is that possible? I have occupied my private property for 3 years. What will be the property tax % we need to pay for selling our private property also how much will we need to pay when getting resale EC and resale HDB?

Afternoon Andrew,

As per your enquiry, you intend to sell your private property to purchase resale EC AND HDB unit. This is not possible if you are to do it concurrently. You can opt to purchase resale HDB unit first, fulfill the MOP requirement before you purchase resale EC. This is also provided that either of you have converted into SC. If you choose to stay as PR, your intended plan will not be materialize.

You will only be able to purchase either a resale HDB or a resale EC after letting go your private property.
