Hi,
Me and my wife are SPR, we are now willing to buy a HDB below $300K. May i know how much cash we actually need to prepare and how bout if we already have a landed house at Malaysia?

Good afternoon buyers,

In order for SPR household to purchase a resale HDB, both must fulfil SPR status for 3 years respectively.

You have to dispose off your overseas property within 6 months from completion date. If not, you can appeal to HDB first before you commit to a purchase.

Initial outlay will be if you can obtain 80% bank loan:

1) 5% cash downpayment
2) 15% CPF downpayment
3) estimated 3% buyer's stamp duty
4) 5% additional buyer's stamp duty as SPR
5) legal fee, resale HDB submission fee, valuation fee, agent's commission etc.

Hi, pls kindly note that for your case, you will have to sell away your landed house at Malaysia upon purchasing a resale HDB flat in Singapore.

Evening,

As SPR buyers on HDB unit, both of you must have had fulfilled 3 years holding on the SPR status. You will also be required to sell away your landed property in Malaysia within 6 months from key collection. As to how much cash you need to prepare, it will be based on how much CPF you have in hand, how much loan you can get and purchase price of the unit.
