you will need to register intent to sell and wait out the cooling period of 7 days before you can issue an Option To Purchase for your unit.

2) An HFE is for buying a BTO/SBF or resale HDB flat only.

Hi,

HFE will not be required if you are just selling your house. Only need your MOP of 5 years to be fulfilled, and Intent to Sell done. I have helped various homeowners to sell off their HDB and successfully transit. I am contactable at 97432395  for further discussion.

If you are not planning to buy another HDB flat in Singapore and are looking to sell your existing HDB flat, you generally do not need to go through the HDB Flat Eligibility (HFE) process. The HFE check is mainly relevant when you intend to buy another HDB flat, and it helps ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria to do so.

However, there are other considerations when selling your HDB flat:

Minimum Occupation Period (MOP):

Ensure that you have fulfilled the Minimum Occupation Period (MOP) for your HDB flat. The MOP is the minimum period that you are required to physically occupy the flat before you can sell it. The MOP is typically five years for most HDB flats.

You do not need to apply for HFE to sell your HDB, but you will need to register your intent to sell with HDB before you can sell your HDB if you have already fulfilled your 5 years Minimum Occupation Period. Once you have registered your intent to sell, there will be a cooling period of 7 days before you can accept any offer.
