Hi looking to buy a house in yishun.
Im SC, my wife is on s-pass for 8years. Im aware we can only get resale flat which is fine but the problem is getting a loan.
Applied for hle, approved but only ard 150k.
Tried bank loan but rejected on reason my wife is on s-pass. Is it true?
Anw need someone to guide us through as we are tired of renting a room for the past 8 months.
Need a place to call our own.

As your wife is considered a foreigner, you can only purchase a resale flat under non citizen spouse scheme.

Under this scheme, only your income will be taken into mortgage application.

Hi,

For your case you are eligible for non-citizen spouse scheme, which means your loan can only be granted based on your income. Depending on the CPF OA and cash you have, its might still be possible to get a 3-rm unit in Yishun. Thanks and look forward to assist with your plans further.

Afternoon,

You can only purchase under non-citizen spouse scheme. You will be the main applicant and your spouse will be the essential occupier. Given so, mortgage figures will be worked based on your income only. You will however be eligible for single grant.
