Hi, I'm staying in Singapore from 15 Years and I got SPR 5 Years back. But My Wife got SPR just recently in Aug'2013.
Am I eligible to buy Resale HDB Flat ??? As Iam the Main Applicant for buy Flat, I think this 3 Years Waiting Rule is not applicable to me! Am I Correct ?
Please Suggest... Thanks

Morning Rambabu,

Under the current ruling, both SPR applicant for resale HDB unit have to fulfill 3 years before they are eligible for the purchase. Since your spouse just got her PR, both of you will only be eligible for the purchase after Aug 2016.

    Is it any chance to amend this rule later on? I heard some rumors that this rule can't be continue long time as It's effect on HDB and as well as Economy.
