I am 28 and single and I am considering to buy my own hdb.I need my own space. I read that I can joint with one of my parents. Can you please advise the eligibility. Thank you

Hi,

Yes you can purchase resale hdb with your parents name included. Do note if they are the owners of the current private property, they need to remove their names from the ownership if they apply hdb with you.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Warm Regards,

hello, right now the ownership of the condo is not under my parents name and under my brother name. However before our condo, we stay in private property. My parents said they unable to buy another house for 2 years. Is that so? can i joint with one of my parent or only both?

Hi Jing Wen,

I am sure you know you can only buy a HDB under your own name when you're single and above 35. So, if you want to buy now, you will need to purchase the HDB together with both your parents.

In order for your parents to joint-purchase with you, they must not own any other HDB flats or private residential properties. If they do, they will need to dispose off the properties.

Do contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  for further discussion. I will be happy to assist you and provide you with a variety of options.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Robbie Chen

Afternoon Ms. Leong,

As both your parents are still with you, you will have to apply for HDB unit with both your parents. Firstly, the ownership of the condo have to be transferred out before you can purchase resale HDB unit under Public Scheme. Otherwise, you have to wait till you turn 35 in order to purchase one under single scheme.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Hi,

Re: Today’s SG Professional Choice- SGAgent.com & SGRealtor.com

Can joint your parent as long they do not have any property to fulfill the requirement to purchase an HDB with you.

Recommend that you ask your parent to buy the HDB themselves, so that you can meet your goal and move out. While help to pay off the housing installment through bank transfer :)
