Hi. I'm a Singaporean who bought a foreign property with my boyfriend earlier this year.

Understand that we are no longer eligible to buy a HDB in Singapore, we are now looking at buying a 1-BR but we are not sure if we are able to afford or secure a bank loan for this. Any thoughts?

Afternoon Alyssa,

You are still eligible to purchase resale HDB unit but you must sell off your private property or remove your ownership status within 6 months from key collection.

As for the possibility of getting another mortgage loan, you can get a banker to assess your status before you decide.
