Hi, I'm a Singaporean that owns a BTO that have not MOP with my parents. After I get married with my singaporean girlfriend (she does not own any properties), will we be able to purchase a resale flat together immediately?

What are the options for us after marriage?

I understand that I have to remove my status as owner in my current BTO flat. Thanks!

Hi Sir,

You will not be able to purchase another resale flat until you have met the 5-year MOP of your current flat.

Upon the MOP, you can purchase another resale flat with your girlfriend, and then remove your name from your current flat with your parents latest within 6 months upon the flat purchase.

Do take note that your parents will have to refund you the CPF monies that you had utilised for the flat, plus accrued interest. They must also have the financial ability to support any outstanding loan after your exit.
