Hi, i'm a mom of 1, sold matrimonial flat(took family grant & purchase via bank loan) last 6yrs. Managed to rent 1rm flat frm HDB for 3yrs nw. Re-married last Dec, now expecting. Hubby 1st timer. I am aware tt he will b considered as 2nd. How does the new HDB revise rules benefits us(if any)? N wat r our best options w no cash in hand? furthermore my contract just ended& i worry being pregnant might minimise my chances of getting a job. My CPF is of 26k, hubby at 30k. M-i-l will be staying with us. Is 3rm flat our only option? ADVICE plz.. :S

Dear mummy,

If you and your hubby buy a resale flat, on your hubby side, there is still half grant available since he is a first timer.

You need to work out your finance to see if you will be eiligible for HDB loan or how much loan you can get from the bank.

Please feel free to call me to work out something.

Best regards,

Afternoon,

With your current financial status, it's tough to get resale unit as most requires COV and are more expensive than new BTOs. To get a bank loan, 5% cash is required. To use HDB loan, 50% of your cash proceed from the matrimonial flat have to be used.
With BTO, you are required to pay levy as you have enjoyed your first subsidized unit. You will also have to play the waiting game as you do not know what are you chances like. You might need to write in for appeal and work out on your situation before you can see light infront of the tunnel.
