Yes she can. Just note that she won't be considered the loan, and she'd have to sell her HDB flat if she has one, and you'd need to check if she has received any housing subsidies before.

Hi Mr Ng,

You will be eligible to purchase an EC with your mum. However, you need to bear in mind that your mum will need to dispose her property within 6 months from the TOP of the EC if she were to purchase it together with you.

It is a good decision to invest in an EC as statistics has shown that majority of EC owners make a good profit when they sell their unit after the MOP. Our government is also starting to decrease the supply of ECs in the future. EC pricing is also very attractive as they are considered subsidized housing and are priced 10-15% lower as compared to private condos within the same location.
