HI, I would sincerely like to purchase 3-4rm hdb resale flat. I am unable to wait for BTO as it takes a long period to complete & I have been married for 2 yrs(need to start family, hubby's age catching up). Our biggest problem is cash constraint. Are there any flats that does not require high cash?? Pls adv..thanks..

Hi Diane,

The main question is that what is the cash portion you can fork out against the location of unit you are targetting. If you are looking at popular area, I'm afraid that it will be a challenge.

In addition, have you done your HLE or gotten an Approval In Principle from a bank? What is the amount of loan you can get and how about the CPF amount usable for your purchase.

All these constitutes to proper planning before beginning your home search.

Engage an agent who can assist with financial planning. The S&P process needs careful and confident planning with HDB, CPF, bank and lawyer etc.Recently my client bought a condo while 'holding on' to a HDB flat and they need the 'funds' for the condo.
