Hi, I need advice on housing matters. I am a divorcee-to-be & will be finalising the process early next year. I will need to dispose my current HDB 5-room flat within 6-12mths. As I'll be turning 35 in year 2015, I would like to apply for a unit myself. But would like to know what options do I have?

Hi, you would need to dispose the current 5 room flat first before you could purchase the next one. And as you be turning 35 by next year, you have the option of buying a resale flat under your name. Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

You can only apply for the BTO upon reaching 35 y/o, under single scheme. It will normally take around 3 to 5 years for the unit to be ready for you to move in. However, the divorce need to be finalized before you can proceed.
