Hi,

I have found a resale flat to move in and have booked the valuation. However, in the recent Sale of balance flats, i found a flat which i really like.

Can i still ballot for it ? If my queue number if too far behind then i will forfeit it and proceed with my resale flat which i fixed the valuation for. But if i get the balance flat that i wanted then i might let go of the resale house application.

Possible to do this ?

The technical considerations is that you should not enter into any binding agreement with either HDB with the SBF or the owner of the resale unit. The moment you have entered into a binding agreement to purchase the property, you are unable to back out. Since you have fixed the valuation for the resale unit, I assume that you have not exercised the Option To Purchase. Look at the dates for the various timelines to be met and make a decision accordingly.
