Hi, I got one friend, 33 years old, she is Singapore Citizen and would like to buy HDB resale flat through "Non-Citizen Family Scheme" with her mother from China who is holding a long term visitor pass.
Although she is Singapore Citizen for couple of years, but last two years she was holiday in China and recently only come back to Singapore. Is she eligible to buy a resale flat?

Evening,

As long as your friend is SC, she is eligible to purchase HDB resale unit under non-citizen family scheme. But since she might not have CPF and have income would likely be from her employer in China. Hence she must have her financing firmed down before she move in for the purchase. She will also be required to remove her ownership status in China. However, she must be aware of the MOP requirement after the purchase.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Hi

Yes, she is eligible to buy a resale HDB flat as long as she is a local. So it does not matter how long she was away from Singapore.

Pls feel free to let me know if your friend need any assistance or any other query.
