Hi,

I divorced in yr 2013 and my ex and kids are still staying in the matrimonial flat. I bought this flat from resale market and serving the loan from bank. I am still serving the loan and its still under my name and my ex. I could not transfer to her because she is not working and the loan is still serving by me via CPF.

My question:
1) Can I buy a new flat? and still paying for the current matrimonial flat?
2) will the bank agree that i am serving the loan and at the same time remove my name from HDB?

Hi,
Below is my input.
1. Not allow to own 2 hdb flat.
2. Bank work on the ownership of the property.

There are few options
- transfer the full ownership of the hdb flat to your ex, you may help her to pay off the CPF via cash.
- sell the flat, and assist them to purchase a smaller one with full cash from the sale proceed
- purchase a private condo for yourself
