Hi, I currently have an EC with my wife which will hit MOP in April 2023. We are filing for divorce. If we file now, likely we will get the judgment before end of this year as it will be uncontested. I have some questions:
1. If I get the final judgment before MOP, will HDB make me buy over my wife's share at market value if I have the means to do so? I will prefer not to and I will rather sell.
2. I understand that selling during MOP is restricted to buyers who fulfil the criteria but also there is fewer competition. Selling after MOP has a larger pool of buyers but more competition. Based on experience, which had a better price? Please don't say each has its pros and cons.
3. Will HDB give you a tight deadline to sell the house (e.g. 3 months) and hence I will face buyers trying to push price down?
4. For the new buyer who takes over the place while I still have 3 months MOP, is the buyer subjected to any MOP?
Thank you.
