The existing regulations do not allow you to purchase a HDB with your sister. Is your sister above 21 and have children under her custody?

I have been in the real estate business since 2009, with more than 14 years of experience serving the Singapore real estate market.

I am very active in the residential segment of Singapore real estate market, having transacted hundreds of deals from HDBs to private condominiums and landed properties in Singapore, and have handled many unique cases in sales and purchases as well as rental deals.

Over the years, I have also established a network reaching out to more than 9,400 expatriates, bringing my market presence to both in and outside of Singapore. This has created an additional exposure when I manage my client's portfolios, on top of the conventional on and offline platforms, where other estate agents are relying on. This has allowed me to consistently convert leads into results.

With an evolving market, where change is the only constant, I have also been investing in upgrading of my knowledge and skills sets to improve myself and meet the demands of current and future market.

Hi,

Your sister can purchase under single singaporean citizen scheme, or public scheme if she has care and custody of the child. There is no such scheme as sibling scheme though. You may want to work out an internal arrangement with her (such as to pay rent to her while you stay in her next flat)

Hope the above clarifies. May I have more info and requirements about your plans so as to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Hi,

1) The sibling scheme was scrapped in the early 2011.
2) The only scheme that the HDB has for siblings who are not orphaned is the Joint-Singles Scheme.
3) The Joint-Singles scheme required all applicants to be SC and at least 35 years old for unmarried or divorced.
4) Your sister can apply to buy under the Public Scheme if she has full legal custody, care, and control of her child.
5) No scheme allowed you to buy with your sister.
6) You might appeal to the HDB to see whether they give an exception for you to be an owner to assist in the purchase.
7) The appeal website is https://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BF12AWFeedback/BF12SFrontController?service=ServiceFeedback&operation=createFeedback

Please give me a thumbs-up if the answer provided is relevant to your main concern. Thanks!!!
