I am Singapore PR and My wife is Singaporean. Currently we own HDB and one condominium. The HDB is under both name and the condominium is under my wife name only. Our HDB is fully paid. We still have outstanding mortgage for our condominium under my wife name. If we plan to invest in third condominium under my name only. Do we need to sell our HDB ? Can I still get the 80% loan from the bank ?

Evening,

Based on your description, you have only one property holding under your name. Hence you will be eligible for 80% loan. You will also be subjected to ABSD of 10%.

As your HDB is fully paid, u can get 80% loan... as this is your second property, there will be ABSD of 10%.

Dear Sir,

There is NO requirement for you to sell your HDB. You will also be eligible for 80% loan since you have no outstanding housing loan. However, do note that you will be liable for an Additional Buyer Stamp Duty (ABSD) of 10% of the purchase price.

Hi,

Yes, you may buy condominium under your name and would counted as 2nd property provided you and your wife has fulfilled the Minimum Occupation Period. Take note there will be 10% Additional Buyer Stamp Duty involve. You may get up to 80% bank loan for this 2nd property. Hope this clarifies.
