Hi, I am recently divorced. Divorce is finalised on April 2021.Planning to remarry in June 2021. My ex wife will buying over our matrimonial home soon. My to be wife already has a HDB apartment under single scheme. Once I am married to her in June 2021, am i eligible to purchase a 3 room HDB under my name only?

Hi,

Nope if you remarry, your status is not under single scheme anymore.

Hi Sir,

You can purchase the flat under your sole name, but you will require your spouse to be at least the essential occupier of the flat that you purchase. This will also mean that she will need to sell off her HDB flat latest within 6 months upon your HDB flat purchase.
